My name is Miranda.

I am a 22 year old college graduate living in Kalamazoo, MI. I studied English and Gender Studies and received a certification in non profit via American Humanics.

I love to travel and experience new things. My favorite places so far, aside from my home in Michigan, are the Pacific northwest (Seattle, Vancouver, Portland) and Southern Utah/northern Arizona. Each place offers a distinctly different feel and I love them all. I am getting married in November, 2010, and moving to Portland. From there I am waiting to be with my future wife and will be immigrating to Canada.

My favorite colors are brown and teal/powder blue

I like piercings and tattoos, cream soda, brownies, alpacas/llamas/sheep, going on adventures, ginkgo leaves, the autumn, pumpkin donuts, wearing sweaters, indie folk music, traveling, meeting new people, reading, holding hands, watching movies, wrapping myself in blankets, spinning yarn on my spinning wheel, and hugs. I especially love hugs.

I like to craft and make things. I haven’t crafted in a while but I’m trying to make time to at least spin. I have a tattoo on my back of a spinning wheel, llama, sheep, and rabbit. They are my favorite animals. I’m constantly asked what the symbolism of the tattoo is: there isn’t any. It’s not about the cycle of life or anything deep. I like animals. I like spinning. I’m sure I could bullshit something about sustainability and utilization of resources, which I wholly believe in, but really… I just love yarn.
